No. 1 Total Volleyball Camp Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where is the camp held? A: The camp is held on the campus of Wesleyan University
in Middletown, Connecticut. We are housed in university housing and meals are
held in the campus dining hall. All volleyball activities are held at the
Freeman Athletic Center in the Silloway Gym and Bacon Field House. Please use
this link for directions to Wesleyan University:
Q: How many people are assigned per room for housing? A: Typically, the dorm we are assigned to is equipped to have two people per room. The camp director will assign campers with their requested roommate whenever possible. When that is not possible due to multiple requests or to dorm space, requested roommates will be assigned to a room next to or across from their original request. Players from the same team will be housed on the same floor whenever possible as well. If someone is attending camp alone, she will be roomed with someone of similar age and/or grade.
Q: What time is registration and check-out? A: Registration is on Sunday between 1:00-3:00pm. Check-out is on Thursday at 11:30am. There is a tournament during the final session on Thursday beginning at approximately 9:30am that parents and family members are encouraged to attend.
Q: Is there a medical staff on-hand? A: We have a certified athletic trainer (ATC) that is with the camp from the start of registration through check-out. The ATC handles all athletic injuries and treatments and all self-dispensed medicines are kept with him/her per state regulations. All campers must have medical insurance coverage. Parent's personal insurance should cover all external emergency medical care. With any serious injury or illness, the emergency contact of the camper will be notified and the appropriate action taken.
